Heer og Waffen-SS Combat Assault Pack A-Frame Bag, Marked REP 43

Olive drab, late war, canvas construction A-frame assault pack bag is roughly, 27cm wide and 22cm tall with 8cm deep, slightly tapering, side panels. The bag has a fold over top closure flap with two natural alloy grommets positioned near the bottom edge and two corresponding closure strings to each of the reverse bottom corners of the bag. The strings were designed to fold up over the bottom and the obverse of the bag, be inserted through the top flap grommets and tied for a secure closure. The reverse of the bag has dual, horizontal, straps and corresponding natural alloy dish buttons situated on each side panel. The reverse straps were intended to be buttoned around the vertical arms of the A-frame. The interior reverse of the top flap has a single small with a button holed leather closure strap and corresponding natural alloy dish button, for the K98 cleaning kit. The interior of the bag has a single compartment with small protective fold over flaps to each side panel. The single compartment also has a button holed leather strap with a corresponding button situated on the obverse exterior.
