Kriegsmarine 2nd Model Naval Dagger - E. & F. Hörster

This 2nd Model Naval dagger is in very fine condition throughout, showing little usage. The gilding on the hilt mounts is nearly intact, and the mounts themselves remain nice and crisp.

The carved wood grip is covered in a fine off-white celluloid that remains free of damage, and is tightly wrapped with twisted brass wire.

The scabbard is in nice, dent-free condition and has nearly all of the original gilding. The decorative stampings are crisp and clear. The bands and carrying rings show no visible traces of wear, with the latter retaining some of the original gilding.

The blade is a very fine, double etched example that remains in very good condition. The backgrounds of the etch pattern remain perfect and really set off the designs. The reverse ricasso is stamped with the Hörster trademark,
