Luftwaffe Mechanics/Ground Crew Overseas Cap

Black rayon/cotton blend construction overseas style cap with an HBT, (Herring Bone Twill), weave. The cap features fold down side and back panels with gently sloping, downward scallops to the front and forward sides. The front center of the cap has a machine embroidered, second pattern Luftwaffe eagle in silver/grey threads on a cut-out black wool base. The eagle is neatly handstitched to cap. As per regulations no national tri-color cockade was applied. The interior of the cap is fully lined in ribbed cotton/rayon twill. RBNr and Size marked 55.
